Welcome to Naugblog
Published February 19th, 2008 @ 11:20 am. Tags: AnnouncementsThank you for stopping by my blog. The plug has been pulled on Right Angle Blog and I’ll try to get back into the habit of this blogging nonsense.
My goal with Right Angle Blog was to build a community site for Ohio conservatives to discuss with each other the issues of the day.. However, while liberals seem to love collective top-down Soviet politburo-style blogs such as DailyKOS and Buckeye State Blog, conservatives are rugged individualists who like compete on their own in the free-market arena of ideas. This is why I have started this site. I will also continue to do some work for Human Events Online.
I am also going to stay away from the tabloid-style reporting which took place on Right Angle Blog. I think people are tired of being reminded of Columbus Mayor Mike Coleman’s and Ohio Attorney General Marc Dann’s infidelity. And I’m especially tired of discussing the more disturbing details of Ohio Governor Ted Strickland’s private life. So from now on, I will focus less on salacious scuttlebutt and more on policy. But I’ll still do my best to do the work no lazy Columbus Dispatch reporter will do.
Right Angle Blog was also going to be the place to be for Ohio news for the 2008 Presidential election. But now that our choices for president has been narrowed down to 3 Democrats (Clinton, B. Hussein, and McCain), I don’t care. sorry.
Also, in the past 8 months I’ve pulled a Huckabee and lost more than 100 pounds through a new fad diet which is called: “Eat less and exercise more, moron.” I’ll have to send Buckeye State Blog a new picture for them to mock me with. And in Mike Coleman’s Columbus, I am the victim of one of those many unreported crime statistics, as my car was broken into and a pile of textbooks were stolen. The damaged and stolen property was not valuable enough for the Columbus Police Department to care.
Stay tuned for more thrilling fun and excitement!

Welcome back to the ’sphere.
You’ve been missed
Hey, welcome back.
Welcome back, Matt!
Welcome.
Your second paragraph explains it all. It’s a good news, bad news situation.
The entrepreneurial right-side model is superior because it fosters more creativity but is weak (at least in theory) in economies of scale. We also avoid having one guy or gal (Kos, Arianna) making tons of money and posing as a friend of “the people” while the proletariat diarists slave away and provides mountains of free content.
If I thought I could make the Kos model work on the right, I’d do it in a heartbeat. But there’s a shortage of compliant proles. :–>
Still delivering pizzas and blaming immigrants for taking all the good jobs I see. Your history is not forgotten, racist.
Matthew,
Congrats on the healthier lifestyle and the new blog. I’m looking forward to this new site.
How was the Obama rally?
Good to see that you’re back.
Got anymore DUI records to post as you waltz back into the blogosphere like you were never a two-bit thug?
Welcome back Matt, truly.
Hello Matt - welcome back.
Ahh Liberal forgiveness… Matt Linville and BuckeyeStateBlog can only true forgive you when you really learn that you love Big Brother- government. Welcome back.
I had missed the notices of your return until just now. You know, when he was around your age, Ed Crawford took a little time off, out of the limelight and the bright lights, according to my uncle who grew up in Cleveland Heights, and look at Ed now, and he’s a Republican, too, just like you. Are you taking pages from his playbook? Are you his understudy?
