Strickland’s Got the Hippy, Hippy Shakes
Published February 20th, 2008 @ 9:57 am. Tags: clinton, fox news, shaking, stricklandPolitical observers were abuzz over Gov. Ted Strickland’s unexplained head twitching in the last couple of minutes of a national television interview Sunday. A spokesman for the governor suggested the incident was nothing that a good night’s sleep and a little decaf couldn’t cure. “The governor is not sick or ill,” Strickland spokesman Keith Dailey said Tuesday. “If anything, this was a case of too much coffee, too little sleep and a whole lot of passion.” The head shaking and facial contortions that popped up near the end of an eight-minute segment on Fox News Sunday prompted speculation about the governor’s health.
I watched the live broadcast and was struck by how he was shaking, but I just thought it was nerves. After all, he had to stand by the Clinton talking points and defend the Democrat Party’s very un-Democratic way of selecting presidential nominees. Maybe he was worried about winding up dead in Fort Marcy Park? Take a look for yourself….
