Senator George Voinovich: “Tax Increases are Necessary”
Published March 20th, 2008 @ 11:35 am. Tags: voinovich“We’re going to have to raise more money in this country. Did you hear me? We’re going to have to increase taxes in order to do the job,” Sen. Voinovich said. “Anyone that tells you that’s not the case isn’t being truthful with you. They’re not being intellectually honest with you.”
Between foolish comments like this and being the genesis for the so-called reforms which lead to the infamous Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation scandals, Voinovich certainly knows how to rally Republicans to re-elect him in 2010!

Somebody has to pay for George Bush’s reckless spending, future committments and the on-going costs of the perpetual war.
We are now starting to see the economic fruits of having a half-conservative in office - the fruit is very bitter.
The dittoheads who have supported Bush need to look in the mirror.
Matt - Vote for Ham Sandwich 2010!
Voinovich is lucky he’ll be running against Lee Fisher. Which corrupt, pro-taxer from Cleveland are you going to pick?
Where did this “Bush is a conservative.” meme come from? Even half-conservative. Bush is the 21st Century LBJ. Always was, but he was better than the alternative in ‘00 and ‘04. Now we are in the same situation with McCain - liberal Republican or one of 2 fascists (without the patriotism).
Bush’s tiny tax cuts in ‘01-’03 saved us after 9/11. He will be hailed by future generation for the results of the GWOT (much like FDR is hailed for WWII despite ruining the economy for future generations - sound familiar?).
Republican does not equal conservative - for the 10,000th time!
