Sexual Harassment Alleged by Two Employees of AG Marc Dann

Without investigating the veracity of the allegations, the attorney general’s office is trying to settle sexual-harassment complaints filed by two women against a supervisor in the office.
The complaints, filed Monday, allege that Anthony Gutierrez, a section chief for Attorney General Marc Dann, sexually harassed the women at work or in the Dublin condo once shared by Gutierrez, Dann and Leo Jennings III, Dann’s communication chief.
Vanessa Stout, 26, and Cindy Stankoski, 26, filed the complaints against Gutierrez with the Equal Employment Opportunity office. They were surprised to be approached two days later by Angela Smedlund, the agency’s EEO officer, who acknowledged “a problem,” the women said.
Dann was at the condo when they arrived. Already there was Dann’s scheduler, Jessica Utovich, who, according to the complaint, “walked in w. pj’s and laptop” and lay down on the floor to work on her computer.
Stankoski said by that time, she was feeling very tipsy and asked if she could lay down. Gutierrez told her she could use his bedroom. She awoke several hours later, she said, to find three buttons of her pants undone and Gutierrez lying beside her wearing only underwear.
Dann was at the condo with his female scheduler, who was in her PJ’s… She is the one that allegedly bragged about her affair with AG Dann on her MySpace page. Maybe I haven’t being around long enough, but does “delivering schedules” to your boss usually involve wearing P.J.s and exchanging bodily fluids?
The employee for the AG’s office who is being accused of sexual harassment is Anthony Gutierrez, who is yet another Ohio AG employee with a stellar resume:
Dann hired Gutierrez in January 2007, even though Gutierrez’s background check uncovered 27 tax liens and civil judgments and a personal bankruptcy.
For those of you keeping score at home, Dann’s former driver KILLED somebody, his “top fiscal watchdog” lied about being a CPA, and his former “top cop” was double-dipping by remeaining on the payroll for the Youngstown police department.
Attorney General Marc Dann is a hyperpartisan who likes to file frivolous lawsuits and chase newspaper headlines. So when this story broke, a fitting quote immediately came to mind. It is from Edmund Burke’s Letter to the Sheriffs of Bristol (1777):
“He that accuses all mankind of corruption ought to remember that he is sure to convict only one.”
Update: Jane Genova reminds us that this is just Marc Dann following alittle too closely on the path of his mentor, Eliot Spitzer.
Update II: The Professor has started the “Marc Dann resignation watch.” And Mark McNally remembers my original, over-the-top post about Marc Dann and his scheduler, which is slowly being proven by James Nash and company to be 100% correct. I only wish I would have remembered to screen capture her MySpace page before she blocked access. darnit!

It does- I had so many nasty emails sent to me after I posted about the affair. I still have audio I taped from when I called Dann’s scheduler a few months ago to ask her about the affair, and he had a very scripted response. I’m quite tired about dealing with filthy politicians and their personal lives, but this story clearly had an effect on the operation of the Attorney General’s office.
Naugle broke part of the story in December, but thanks to the Dispatch for following up!
The rest of the media sure has been quiet about this!

Seriously, grow up! you have no poof to support your claims, and you’re a libel/slander suit waiting to happen! No wonder why the Ohio GOP cut you loose.
I hope Jessica and the others you’ve slandered sue your ass, as well as that of your ISP provider — if I were you, I’d start saving up your Wal-Mart paycheck to pay for your attorneys fees.
Difficult to sue for libel when what has been written has the inconvenience of being true. Thus, the silence by the accused.

And “G”, just because a woman doesn’t return Naugle’s phone calls (or tells him to screw off) doesn’t mean she is guilty of anything other than of having good taste! Lots of women tell Naugle to f*** off!
who, if anyone, has saved or at least seen the alleged MySpace page? are you really basing this on a mis-identification? why don’t you or some blogger spill all they know?
Or is it all BS? If so, STFU about Dann’s alleged affair. His own role in the Gutierrez scandal is ugly enough without making unfounded charges that give him some support/backlash against being unfairly attacked.

fyi……..cindy fucked a married man in that office, and she definately didn’t put up a fight. maybe the attorney generals office should check into all of this!!!! He still works there!!!!

And if you do know her own up to what your mouth can say-write you name down as I will mine, she wasn’t scared to bring this to the table-are you?!!! Again I know she didn’t sleep with a married man especially at the ag’s office-what business is it of yours anyhow!!! This isn’t supposed to happen to women in the work place and you may be a women I am not sure hard to tell since you have no compassion! These men need to go down as well as dumb women who can’t back up other women!!!
