As a former fan when it was WWF, (though I might start watching again now that the Undertaker is back) there are some interesting comparisons to politics and professional wrestling.
Most of the hostilities are fake, most of the moves are fake and a great deal of what is said is just for show.
Matt –
I suppose you all remember that Ric Flair endorsed Huckabee and campaigned for him in the S. Carolina primary — that was way back in the pre-Cambrian epoch of presidential politics. I come from Tennessee, so I have always believed that rasslin’ is real and the moon landings are fake. LisaRenee has shocked me. Does she really think that Killer Kowalski’s claw hold was just for show?
Funny, I remember Triple H doing Barack’s line 10 years ago when he did a parody of The Rock and said, “Do you smell what The Crock is cooking?”
