Good Riddance, Jerid

Jerid Kurtz, the obnoxious chucklehead blogger from Dayton, has left Buckeye State Blog to pursue his future career as a slip-and-fall lawyer.

In his supposedly final post, he thanks a bloated Federal government for being his 3rd parent as a child while his biological parents went through a difficult economic situation.

Jerid also admits that he fights for Democrat canddiates because they “take care of folks like me.” Atleast this means Jerid is an honest democrat. Most Democrat activists won’t admit that they are tired of that “personal responsibility” nonsense, and would rather be tied to statist politicians through a social umbilical cord where new programs will be exchanged for votes.

Jerid, as a voter and activist, resembles this heavy-set fellow from a recent cover of Reason Magazine (The shirt says, “I vote.”)

As the ultimate example of Jerid sidestepping personal responsibility, we arrive at the issue of his parents. Jerid, the former spokesman for a husband-beating congressional candidate, writes this unsettling sentence:

As the economic pressure slowly crippled my parents marriage - like my dad’s legs - to the point of domestic violence, Social Security kept my Scooby Doo lunchbox full.

Sorry, Jerid. “Economic pressure” does not excuse domestic violence. No matter the situation, domestic violence always includes one person making a conscious decision to harm another.

Overall, Jerid’s farewell post is weird, too personal, and narcissistic. And between this and fellow BSB front-pager Tim Russo’s recent post about his experiments with homosexual acts in grade school, Buckeye State Blog is starting to give me the creeps.

Tammy Bruce describes liberalism as nothing but malignant narcissism.

    Can’t say I disagree

Wow. This is low even for you. Perhaps you’re just jealous that Jerid is going to be a lawyer, while your career goals have taken you all the way to 2nd shift pizza delivery. Dream big.

    Matt,

Haven’t you seen all the studies from the Great Depression that showed the sudden increase in domestic violence during the 1930s when the economy was awful (insert sarcasm)?

Jerid’s problem is simply the facility of liberalism. The same prosperity which he would like everyone to have only becomes possible when the private sector’s potential is unleashed and his preferred social programs are reduced. By applauding and encouraging dependence on government, Jerid is not only working to keep people slaves to the Democrat party but he is also working to scare away entrepreneurs from America. Jerid just hasn’t grown up yet, and probably never will.

Jordan what are you talking about? Atleast I didn’t bring up his father’s other legal issues. And pizza? I’ve never worked in a pizza shop- In fact, I haven’t even eaten pizza since 2006. Get a life, buddy.

Are Narcissistic personalities just attracted to blogging? Creepy Indeed.

I’ve been laughing at Russos car crash of a new blog. He blames everyone and everything for his pedophilia except himself. Egg allergy!?! - come on dude. He acts like he is the victim.

    Naugle —

Grow up! At least he’s trying to further his life by getting an education! Just because he doesn’t believe in everything you (or your neo-con buddies) do does not mean that you have to be as ass about it!

Grow up if you want to be a respected blogger!

Ooh, he called us neo-cons. How original.

We prefer the term bitter-Americans, who cling to our guns and our religion.
