Homosexual activists are all about destroying the concept that sex is reserved for only men in women who have taken a marriage vow before God. And it isn’t a stretch for them to move from one sexual deviation (sex between two people of the same sex) and another (sex between an adult and a child).

Still, I feel like you should at least be aware that U.S. Department of Justice statistics of Sexual Assault of Young Children show that 98% of forcible rape victims are female and 93% of all rapists are male.

These stats hold true across the board and prove that pedophiles are NOT frequently homosexuals- they are almost always heterosexual.

At least we can agree that the boy scouts is a good organization but maybe we shouldn’t be wasting tax dollars making coins in their honor.

Well they can’t be around girls anyway, since girls aren’t typically part of the membership of the Boy Scouts.

Being a practicing homosexual is a choice. If that choice isn’t made, that person isn’t a homosexual and thus may be qualified to be a scout leader. But parents are completely justified in not wanting someone who is attracted to males to lead scouts on a camping trip or hike. Of course, some gays could sneak through the screening process, but it’s still a good general rule of thumb to have.

Homosexuals have no more desire to destroy “the moral fabric of society” than you do.

I’m not much for bible quotes, but Matthew 7.1 seems to fit here:

Judge not, that ye be not judged.

But either way- I understand that you might think that homosexuality is wrong- but let’s be clear here: Homosexuals are not pedophiles.

Sure- having an anti-pedophile rules certainly makes sense- for “safety”.

But saying that adult males who happen to be gay can’t be around boys is just as silly as saying adult males who happen not to be gay can’t be around girls.

It’s a ridiculous argument.

It is perfectly constitutional for a traditionalist organization like the boy scouts to demand that their leadership abide by their moral guidelines. Just because you lefties have no problem with destroying the moral fabric of society, keep your grubby hands off a rare refuge from the filth which surrounds today’s youth.

At the local level- these policies have very little impact on the troops themselves. At the local level- Boy Scouts takes everyone regardless of their political or religious beliefs.

And that’s what is great about it. The quality of the experience depends entirely on the quality of the local volunteers - something I got very lucky with.

But nationally, the organization has the appearance of being biased. And biased in such a way that appeals to social conservatives and pisses off the rest of us who think that the policies of our government and our youth organizations should not judge their citizens or their members based on religion or sexual preference.

I’d be all in favor of honoring local Boy Scount leaders - but the national organization needs some new leadership.
