Taft is Back!

From the Youngstown Vindicator:

Congressman Ryan also will mark the opening of the technology building.

YOUNGSTOWN — Former Gov. Bob Taft will return to Youngstown Monday to celebrate the building that bears his name.

He and other officials will join in a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. at the Taft Technology Center, 255 W. Federal St.

The building is designed for technology companies that are ready to move from the Youngstown Business Incubator next door. The incubator provides free rent and other services to fledgling companies.

Businesses don’t need incubators- They need lower taxes and fewer regulations! Taft signed into law some of the largest tax increases in Ohio history, and Ohio’s business climate is ranked 46th in the nation.

I suppose nothing should remind us of Taft more than a taxpayer-funded $5.8 million dollar building to artificially prop up unprofitable companies. And between grants offered by Lt. Gov Fisher’s Ohio Department of Development and the $1.57 billion so-called Ohio economic stimulus plan, Gov. Strickland is truly doing his best to carry on the Taft legacy.
