AG Race: Cordray vs. DeWine, Would be a Race Between Two Anti-Gun Liberals
Published May 29th, 2008 @ 8:35 am. Tags: Mike DeWineCordray, unless he truly has changed his tune, was an anti-gun candidate for a number of offices in years past. When he decided to run for state treasurer, he suddenly was a hunter’s best friend, talking of his youth on the farm and his love of firearms. That is a far cry from comments he made when he screened to run for the Ohio General Assembly, and told various groups that he thought there was no need for anyone to own competition rifles (you know, the “scary” black rifles?).
DeWine, on the other hand, is a republican the Brady Campaign dreams about.
Former Senator DeWine was rated with a “F” from the NRA and in 2006, Human Events named former Senator DeWine as one of the 10 top anti-gun members of the US Senate.
Plus, why would Mike DeWine run for Ohio AG when he is probably waiting for an appointment (US Attorney General?, Supreme Court?) if his very close friend, John McCain, wins the presidential election.
I believe that at this moment, Mike DeWine is the most serious candidate for Ohio Attorney General… I hope a serious conservative alternative becomes obvious soon. (An independent John Bircher conspiracy nut is not a serious alternative.)

If it is a Rep or Dem, there will be no change. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. The two party monopoly will engender nothing but corruption no matter which stooge is picked by the party bosses. We need only look to recent history and follow the money.
