Here is his Republican AG Candidate Mike Crites’, which was launched late last night: Crites for Ohio.

Some reporter with a creepy looking beard posted a video with Ohio Democrat Chris “Psst… Don’t tell anyone but I screwed Jessica Utovich too” Redfern’s preemptive comments to Crites’ press conference yesterday. Click here to watch.

In the video, Chris uses Crites’ campaign website as the source for his information about Crites, even thuogh the site wasn’t working until yesterday evening. But outside of that minor detail, Redfern makes two interesting comments which deserve response:

1) Refern claims that Ken Blackwell and Joe Deters “ran away from the Treasurer’s office in the dark of the night.”

If that is true, then what is Rich Cordray doing running away “in the dark of night” away from the Treasurer’s office? He was elected in November 2006, and it was very clear (and made extremely clear to lawfirms who want to continue doing business with the AG’s office) that Cordray was interested in the job the second that a replacement was needed. And there is no question that Cordray is an “A.G.”…. as in an “Aspiring Governor.”

2) Redfern attacks corporate lawyers.

I don’t have anything against corporate lawyers, especially in a state like Ohio which had to suffer under the despotic corrupt regime of Ohio Attorney General Marc Dann who filed frilvious lawsuits against business like it was a required bodily function. But if Redfern opposes corporate lawyers, then what was Cordray when he was a layer at Jones Day lawfirm?

The truth is that Crites isn’t a career politican, but that’s a good thing. While Cordray has been losing elections for multiple offices for more than a decade, Crties was busy prosecting criminals.

Or I’ll put it a different way- Since Cordray is a former Jeopardy champion (his biggest accomplishment in his career) I’ll put it this way under Unqualified Candidates for $500, Alex!: “He has no experience prosecuting or serving as defense in any criminal trial. He has been a habitual loser & career politican who finally won statewide office in 2006 by riding a tidal wave of negative feelings about Republicans.” Who is Rich Cordray!

By Redfern’s chilish response, it is clear that Democrats have seen the polling data and know their candidate is beatable. Chris Redfern is scared.

Yeah, Matt, since when are local reporters hacks for one party or another? Mark Novac is a good reporter - if you were one, you’d know him.
