Apparently, Democrat Mary Jo Kilroy can’t find enough time away from making shady deals with corrupt unions in exchange for contracts on the new Clippers Stadium, so she didn’t have time to appear at the Plain City Steam Thrashers parade. Instead, she sent a look-a-like to wave to the crowd!:

I had heard about this from some friends downtown. Glad you’re reporting on this!

    What a fake!

  2. 2 Jon

    Holy. Frickin’. Crap.

  3. 3 Dwight

There’s a person who looks like Crazy Mary? Now that’s scary.

  4. 4 kilroy wasn't here

Hey, if the Democrats use fake voters in elections (ACORN, et al.), why not use fake candidates (Obama, Kilroy)?

    You are now officially famous:

You should add American Thinker to your blogroll. It is a must read.. daily!

Wow, can’t get more bizarre than that.

  7. 7 mesablue

And, are we absolutely certain this is not her?

I want to put this up at Ace of Spades, but need to make sure she just wasn’t having a bad hair day (heh) and have it come back on us.

Drop me an email if you get a chance, to let me know.

    Thanks.

    In re mesablue:

Kilroy’s staff acknowledged that Kilroy was not at the event, and claims that the individual sitting in the campaign car had an “intellectual disability” (hence could easily be confused for Mary Jo Kilroy, perhaps intentionally so). Here’s what Kilroy communications director Brad Bauman told Politiker yesterday:

    http://www.politickeroh.com/kilroy-demands-apology-gop-over-impostor-accusation

“No, she was not, our staff was though. We had a staff of about 9 or 10 at the parade,” Bauman said

So they admit that “Kilroy wasn’t here.” Despite Bauman’s outrage, the Ohio GOP is refusing to take the video down or retract the accusation, rightfully so. They caught MJK red-handed.

I personally saw the EXACT same thing in one of the suburban July 4th parades (perhaps even the same individual sitting in the back seat of the car). I turned to my friend standing beside me and said: “That is not Mary Jo Kilroy sitting in the car”. Steve Stivers, however, was actually present sans body double. Perhaps the July 4th charade tipped the GOP off?

As the American Thinker article linked above says, perhaps the Amish and Mennonites in Plain City were just too tough a crowd for Mary Jo Kilroy to handle (all those bibles and guns!). Or she and her staff thought the people in Madison County were too stupid to know what a Franklin County Commissioner would look like. Kilroy and her BuckeyeStateBitches can whine and scream all they want. If Mary Jo intends to conduct her campaign by proxy (doppelganger or otherwise), notwithstanding any assurances she has received from her Obamamessiah of victory, I suspect she’ll lose by much more than 1,000 votes this time around.

    Genius comment!!

If we hammer this issue home, we might actually have a chance at taking Ohio in November. If we don’t, well another one blown by McMuffin.

The more I watch that video the more funny it gets.

That can’t just be a volunteer who got tired, she is in that car waiving all the way down the road.

    How arrogant is this Kilroy?

IMO, this was clearly set up.

A good creative mind could have alot of fun with this.

  12. 12 Anthony

I’ve done 6 parades so far this year in 4 different counties and have been able to make some observations that prove true what Kilroys campaign is saying.
    1. Candidates cannot always go to every parade
    2. If a candidate is riding in a car they usually sit on top of the car not in the backseat
    3. Some volunteers get winded halfway into a parade and ride in the car the rest of the way
    4. Many a time people want to volunteer but cannot walk the parade and they sit in the car waving flags/waving to people

  13. 13 Jon

Anthony, I don’t know what candidates you’re helping out, other than Kilroy, but that is just plain ridiculous.

    1. True, but the ones you can’t make you don’t send people to, especially in a structure that implies the candidate is there. That’s just dumb.

    2. No. The candidate should be walking.

    3. In all the parades I’ve done I’ve never seen that happen. If people can’t make it they either don’t start in the first place or drop off. And times when that has happened I can count on one hand.

    4. wha’?

  14. 14 Anthony

Actually you absolutely send people to parades you can’t go to it’s called name recognition and visibility. And in North East Ohio people candidates usually don’t walk in the bigger parades that way everyone can see them ride by. And obviously we do different parades because I see people get in the car all the time

  15. 15 Jon

Send them to the parades? Sure. Pass out stickers. Hand out balloons. But you shouldn’t take a spot in the parade route unless you have the candidate with you.

Now I’m not saying the campaigns you help on don’t do that, I’m just saying you shouldn’t. It looks bad and is unprofessional.

  16. 16 Anthony

I disagree when you’re trying to cover 4 couinties at once and there are five parades on one day you do what you have to do there is nothing wrong with doing that. Ither candidates campaigns do it also such as Scguring and Boccieri the last two parades I did had cars for both of those candidates but neitherone showed up to either parade. It goes both ways but we don’t cause a stink about any old man looking like Kirk Schuring.

Reading that last comment made my brain hurt.

    Precious,

It was the Hilliard parade. Kilroy wasn’t here.

Well, I don’t know if Kilroy was trying to put one over on her constituants, but she got national attention. CombatEffective.us (obvious plug) also took note.
