The Democratic challenger to Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien withdrew from the race yesterday, saying that the scandals surrounding disgraced former Ohio Attorney General Marc Dann, her former boss, would distract from real issues.
Tomi Lynn Dorris, 50, an assistant attorney general who dated Dann’s chief of staff, blamed “politics of destruction” for her withdrawal from the race in a statement she released yesterday.[...]
She said she had hoped to run a campaign on issues.
“Unfortunately, it has become clear that this race will not be about those substantive issues and ideas but will rather focus on the fact that I was once employed by former Ohio Attorney General Marc Dann.”
This would have been a campaign of issues- And what could be a bigger issue than if one of the candidates worked for one of the most corrupt politicans in Ohio history?

Really? You think Marc Dann is one of the “most corrupt politicans in Ohio history”?
More than, say, Ney or Traficant?
Not only was Dann never indicted on any charges- he was never even charged with anything. Being an immature, self absorbed, incompetent oaf is not the same thing as being corrupt.
Joseph, Yes he is the most disgraced politican in Ohio, ever. Dann ran on the grounds that his opponent was corrupt because someone broke the rules in raising money for her campaign. He iignored her outstanding record as ASG and as Auditor. He also called a Governor corrupt because an aide forgot to record he was a guest at numerous chariatable golf outings. Those outings advertised that the Governor would be there to help raise money for non profit organizations.Heart Assoiation, Lung Association etc….
Meanwhile Dann was sucking up donations for personal use. He used state money to purchase items at a premium ignoring state purchasing policies. He had a bachelor pad where he and his other supervisors. were banging staff members. Oh yeah. While running for AG he had a lien placed on his office and residence for failing to pay state taxes witheld from employees.
Oh yeah he also had his law license suspended for 90 days for cheating a client. he accepted payment and neve rendered the service. When the client asked for a refund he refused. The Ohio Supreme Court lifted his license for 90 days for unethical practices.
Yeah. Dann is the most disgraceful politician in Ohio. Even more so than Democrat Jim Traficant.
